Can't see the forest for the trees 2025 is a poster calendar built from four overlapping printed layers: weekdays, days, months, and years. Each layer functions as one of the filters through which we conventionally read time, and laying them on top of one another makes the calendar deliberately difficult to read at a glance. Finding today's date requires slowing down and looking carefully, an inversion of the calendar's usual role as an instrument of efficiency. The piece sets aside the calendar's tendency to mark some days as significant and others as ordinary, treating every date as equally present on the page. The four layers are silk-screen printed in metallic silver and three shades of black.
